Edge 2 Won't Work With Win Xp

Recommended Posts

Just purchased new Dell with win xp and no onboard port, cannot get dege to work with pci-parallel card.

I've tried 3 different cards with no luck. Anyone have a solution?

Thanks,

Rich

I would call gerber but I remember some other's like the edge needed to be hooked by the printer port, serial port too. Drivers installed?

can be one of a few things...your pci setup is incorrect in your bios(could be EPP rather then ECP as it needs to be for the edge) or a lot of times with pci parrallel ports the jumper settings are incorrect. I had tried to set one up a few years ago for a legacy scanner we had. The card was a generic CompUSA card. I finally ended up shelling the money out to get a nice card with at least some sort of guidance. As WCSG stated start with Gerber and go from there. Or maybe your dealer. Best of luck to you...ahhh one last thing are you trying to use GA as well?
