Clear plex stock has sucked for a while, the secondary issue is that the are running clear only and not running colors.  we bought a ton of white so we dont run out.

We have 1 supplier limiting to 6 sheets of clear for each order. That stretches the supply so more companies can get some.

 

We have another "to the trade only" supplier that is advertising on the local radio that they make and install clear shields....talk about taking it right out of their regular customers pockets...by the way they "don't have any clear that they can sell to you"....I guess I will be doing as little business with them as I can in the future.

I think my supplier is doing the same thing.  They won't tell me that, but I got the same response "that I can sell  you" - well, exactly what does that mean??  Sounds like you have plenty, but are doling it out to your customers as you see fit??  Not cool!  I saw an ad from my old supplier that they were making and installing "partitions" too.  Making more money on Covid than they can make selling directly to us.

I bought a large stock of 4x8 1/4" clear extruded acrylic for a job that fell through. Down to 16 sheets left if anyone is interested in buying them

I guess this is a west coast problem?   I can get all the 1/4" clear acrylic I want from harbor sales in Baltimore.   They also have Weldon 16 but only in pints and small tubes.

On Friday the 6 sheet restriction was lifted we can now order all we need. The "trade only" supplier is still on their own selling direct though

It pisses me off when a supplier is selling what I sell.  We stick to our guns when folks and remain wholesale only.

      Does anyone have any new info on Fairmont?   They requested a service call and even said they would pay by CC the day of service.    TBH i still won't take the work but maybe things have changed.   The PM mentioned a new owner, but I'm doubtful because that's an old story with some companies.
