Long Beach, CA Sign company seeking experienced Sign Metal Fabricators. ALUMINUM experience necessary. Minimum 3 years sign industry experience preferred.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Prepares work to be accomplished by studying plan/blue print specifications and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.

· Positions parts and subassemblies by using patterns and/or reading measurements.

· Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; welding parts and subassemblies.

· Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.

· Resolves fabrication problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.

· Keeps equipment operational by completing following manufacturer's instructions; calling for repairs.

· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

· Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies from stockroom; verifying receipt of supplies.

· Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

· Documents actions by completing production, quality forms and daily timecards.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

· Q & A of product

 

SKILLS: basic knowledge of welding and metal fabrication of parts & pieces using and operating warehouse machinery & equipment (i.e. hand tools, power tools, brakes, saws), basic knowledge of counting (by use of numbers, measuring tape or ruler), follow schedules, flexible to changes in schedule, meets deadlines, physically fit and able to complete all assigned work efficiently.

 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
