  1. The things I am thinking right now......LOL
  2. HAHAHAHAHAHAH OK I see what your saying. I thought you were talking about the shit like facebook and such. Places like this and signsearch are good tools!!!
  3. Are you telling me that you believe Facebook and myspace are good marketing tools for a sign business? From what I hear and read a large percentage of the "users" on these sites are petifiles and pervs searching for their next victim. I don't give much respect to any marketing guru that claims having a myspace page will land him tons of new business. What are you smoking? LOL
  4. Sorry but I personally don't believe social sites that allow you to find an old high school friend are the marketing tools of the future. We will stick to face to face sales calls (time proven) and the sites that market to real sign buyers not every yahoo (no pun intended) with a facebook page.
  5. If I had a supposed neon guy that would rather pull permits than bend glass I would have to use led's also. With all due respect your lack of a neon guy does not mean LED's are the cure all. Yea they are better for some things as is neon but most of the "buzz words" flying around are just words and have no real substance. Those "buzz words" work wonders on the general public and the uninformed and the marketing people for LED's have done a great snow job in most cases. The making of a neon tube creates no waste that is not 100% recyclable and when that tube reaches the end of it's life it is still 100% recycable, can the LED marketers say that NOPE! Is more energy used to produce LED's than neon? I don't know that is kept on the down low. So is LED really the greener choice? I don't think the answer is quite so simple
  6. That's an old post and the guy never called so I don't think he was as interested as he said LOL
  7. I hope your wife has a good income cause' your going to starve on your male stripper income!!!!!! LOL
  8. Gary that is exactly how I want mine set up!!! Damn someone on here must have some plans and part numbers
  9. Hey Gary tell us about this new gig you have. I'm sure everyone would be interested
  10. Congrats and best wishes!!! Lori and I wish we were attending, I'm sure it will be a memorable occasion
  11. Hey how about all the specs on the new one!!!!!!!!!
  12. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!! Drinks all around!!!!
  13. I just got a call from a sign shop in another town asking if I could make and repair some neon for them...I said sure. Then the guy went on to say that the one tube that he needed fixed was from an old sign installed in the 70's and that he had tried to talk the owner into replacing it with LED's to cut down on maintenance!!! I guess a 30+ year old tube is considered a short lifespan to some people (I told the guy yea you would think they would last longer...he didn't get it) Then this guy asks me "are you not afraid of getting cancer?" I said what? then he says that an LED person told him that neon gas causes cancer! Good grief are people that F'n stupid? I didn't even respond to that one. Just had to rant!
  14. Yea Gary should call'em and tell them to double his old pay and he'll think about returning LOL
  15. OK but can you rig it so that the same pedal that lets the gas through also ignites it? That way if the gas gets turned on it will ignite not just spew out raw gas, and also free up your hands
  16. Yep thats what I'm talking about but I didn't know how to rig up the igniter. I don't mind if the blower runs all of the time
  17. Yea I have it set up just to run the ribbon burner. I would like it set up to auto ignite when you step on the pedal
  18. Daco makes one ----- check with them for price. Or, like we discussed ------- you can easily make one yourself. Everything is readiy available from the squirrel cage, to the relays. Daco will sell you the igniter. What happened to the little all in one system that I sold you that was giving you all kinds of heat? gn Yea the little dude works great... but I would like to have an auto to cut down on the heat in the shop
  19. Hey guys let me know if you have one you are interested in selling Thanks!
  20. Here is our sign we are in an industrial area next to a residential area so a lighted sign would not be appropriate P.S. Today it is 22 degrees and 40mph winds!!!!!!!!!
