  1. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!!!! I need to send that link to the next Catholic School that I'm going up against Fairplay with on a bid!!!
  2. Finally found em. It's a division of Fairplay that they use in Florida to sell direct @ wholesale pricing.
  3. Any of you ever heard of a company called "Scoreboard Solutions"??? Trying to find out who they are. Any and all help would be appreciated Will
  4. When you are doing larger ones of these, make sure you pay attention to what you are taking down. We just did a takedown a few weeks back of a gas station sign. Took us all of about 2 hours, and we decided to seperate metals and take it to the scrapyard. $200 worth of scrap!!! Copper, Aluminum, and Nickel are all bringing BIG$$$ right now thanks to the Chinese!!
  5. Should be just about perfect for what you need. I see alot of guys that try and use those mini-jackhammer types for drilling into walls ect.
  6. Not really difficult to kill... They're usually pretty well done by the time we get back from the lake. They are however VERY much alive when we grab hold of them and pull them out of the water.
  7. I missed out today due to kiddo issues... Luckily, "Tha' Hat" decided to come over to my place for the butchering... 44, 18, and 9lbs respectively... I'm officially addicted....
  8. Went out again yesterday.... We all got pretty beat up messing with this guy for the better part of two hours. Right at 40 lbs... They say if you're not bleeding, then you're not hand fishing properly......
  9. Well, there's a fuel distributer close to us here that we've been courting to do some work for his stations recently. We did several different bids for one of his locations to replace his existing gas price sign with LED changers. Finally the owner decided that he didn't want to spend that kind of money, and would rather just take the existing sign down. I quoted him a price on Monday, and told him that we would get with it the next day. Well, our installer realized later that night that he was double booking himself, so instead of re-scheduling and risk irritating the client, we decided to just do it ourselves. The existing sign was an 8'x8' cabinet with two 3'x8' faces on each side. It was welded to a highrise pole about 12 feet up to the bottom of the sign with a 3' wide catwalk all the way arround. So, up I goes with a sawsall and a face full of scowl to cut this mofo down. I cut through the welds almost all the way, then bust out the faces, run a rope through, and pull it down with a truck. Then comes the catwalk. This thing is HEAVY... We cut the front part off and leave the back side with the ladder attached for last. I think, well I'll just cut one of the two remaining supports off, then we'll pop the other weld off with the truck. I'm up on a ladder with the saw, cut through the one weld, and the whole shittin' thing falls on me. Knocks me and the ladder over. I fall over a fence and on top of a dumpster. I'm alright, but I was real shaken up... Ended up getting $40.00 worth of scrap metal out of the job if that gives you any indication as to how much steel we dealt with. Gave the guy a helluva price on it too, so hopefuly this will help cement our relationship and get us some more business.
  10. You're newly single too?? I got the news two weekends ago. Apparently after six years she's decided she prefers the company of ladies now..
  11. There's truly not that much relaxing about it.... It's a helluva maylay when someone's in the water wrestling a catfish as big as a labrador into the boat... This is some ladies from TN that do this on a regular basis... http://www.catfishgrabblers.com/GGGMusicVideo300k.wmv Preparation consists of skinning, filleting, then either grilling or frying the fillets. On bigger fish like these, often times we'll hang them in a smoker for a few hours. If you think smoked salmon is tastey, you'll love smoked catfish!!!
  12. Well, I figured I hadn't blessed you guys with any pictures of my latest exploits in the wild I would abide... A BIG blue catfish that my buddy Alan here caught last Friday night on rod and reel Me holding a 16lb flathead catfish that another buddy of mine caught "Hoggin**" on Sunday. ** "Hoggin" means jumping in the water and catching it with your hands! You city folks get tired of the rat race, come on over to KY and we'll fix ya right up!

  14. If they financed that job, it's their own fault. We finance stuff all the time, but we do it through a third party finance company. That way when something like this happens, we don't have to be concerned with it. We would also get to charge for removal too! ;)
  15. Maybe tacky.... BUT Wouldn't you have liked to sold that job? Tell me you wouldn't have....
  16. Yesterday, we needed to get a quote on a text LED board for a job that we're quoting. We have a dozen or so vendors for this type of thing, and we just decided to call on one that we seldom use. Here's the response: Joeblow's LED's: "This is Joeblow" VCD Signs: "Hey Joe, VCD Signs here! How you doing? We need to get a quote on a 4 line LED Board" Joeblow's LED's: "What model?" VCD Signs: "Not sure. Needs to be four lines of 6" text" Joeblow's LED's: "sigh.... how long?" VCD Signs: "Oh, let's say 8 feet or so" Joeblow's LED's: "sigh..... ok... sigh.... Eleventy gagillion dollars plus shipping and communication.." VCD Signs: "What is wireless running on this model?" Joeblow's LED's: "sigh..... Four gagillion" VCD Signs: "Ok Joe. Well I guess that's about all we'll need" Joeblow's LED's: CLICK (hangup) No "thanks for calling", "any questions", "glad I could help", "have a nice day", "Kiss my Arse"... NOTHING... REALLY chapped my ass.. Am I way off base here? We're not going to use them, and haven't in a long time because we get this same attitude of them not NEEDING my business every time we call. When I was in wholesale, I would talk to upwards of 100 potential clients every day, and NEVER acted that way with anyone. It would be different if it was Microsoft or someone with a corner on the market, but like I said, we can get this same thing from about a dozen other folks. :darkevil5yg:
  17. Anyone want to quote a job for me on a big ol' routed/sandblasted sign? Shoot me a pm with your email and I'll send you over a PDF for consideration.
  18. Exactly.... As much as they care to pack off.... They're not going to take the effort to cut that safe off of my floor and find a way to get it out of my house.... My guns are as safe as my gonads!!
  19. looking for a hig res picture of this joker.. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/westky...StealinBeer.jpg Any of you got an idea where to find one? Our graphics designer is dying to photoshop him, but dosen't like the quality of this one.
  20. As most of you know, I am a hunter. It's probably second to me in priority behind family... That being said, I can sort of understand their reasoning behind it. My biggest gripe is that I don't think they're providing any kind of reciepts for the return of the guns. I've got many thousands of dollars tied up in firearms (read up on it some time... GREAT investment) and if presented with the prospect of being asked to give mine up, I think I would probably just spin the tumbler on my 1800 lb safe and invite them to take all they wish to carry off!!
  21. I'm sorry, I didn't think it was that bad. I'll remove my post and ask that WSG remove the entire thread. Again, I appoligise...
  22. This also holds true for the right to "keep and bear arms" in this country. The origonal idea was not for each state or township to have a militia, but to arm the populous so that in the event of something crazy happening in the government, we would have the ability as citizens to rise up against them.
  23. Ah, the irony of freedom.... You see, without some form of govt. regulation, we would be in an Anarchist state, and not in a democracy. Some see that as a good thing, I don't. The main reason for permitting is to protect the asthetic look of cities, towns, neighborhoods ect. One example I can give is this: Say you live just across the street from Jackie's Fish & Chips. Jackie has decided to put up a 70' tall statue of a fish with neon accents and a 10x20 LED message center. All of this is facing your house. Now we have two problems. If you allow it to happen, it will be infringing on your rights as a property owner. Your property values will decrease as a result, and you will have to stare at this thing every day when you wake up, and deal with the lights when you are trying to sleep. If you stop the guys from putting up their signs, then you are infringing on their rights of free speach. It is mainly because of extreme cases like this that we feel the need to regulate signage in almost all forms. How are things like this handled in GB? Is it just kind of an anything goes type of atmosphere?
  24. Have been looking for an image of a flip phone from the side view opened..... Anyone got anything they're willing to part with?
