  1. There are a lot of personal issues here. That I can not help. I have my choice truck chassis, crane, bucket and builder. With 20 trucks already, I know what I want and what to look for. As shown in my photos. I want an Established, Certified and Reliable Crane/Bucket builder. Manitex and VersaLift. is my 1st choice. I have others. I want a body builder who will build exactly to my specs or better....as long as they are legal I want a body builder who does not cut any corners, who over builds who knows exactly what he is building and can point it out and say why I want a reliable builder who I can talk to 24 Hrs 7 Days and get answers on how many nuts and bolts there are. Not a machine and then wait. I want a builder who is personally involved, on the same page and we become friends, not just a number. You need to prove to me that you have something better before I think about making a change or supporting your product. YES the truck got all the extra lightig and more, Works Flawless and turns heads. Thanks STAMM-MFG.com
  2. OK Kendal Lets see some proof...PHOTOS of....The 3 trucks together, The facilities building and repairing the "New" truck. Some real photos, information and details of at least two trucks. Some photos of the complete step by step assembly. including painting, load testing and WARANTEES. Personal Guarantees ? Lets see the PTOs, Winches, Everything!!!! I do not want to see school buses in the background, Is that side job ? Home Depot Tool Boxes or "Goober" building the truck under a tarp. Words mean nothing...pictures say it all and you need to prove "The Wonder Truck" to all of us sign guys By the way.... Thinking its only steel and wire makes me want to stay far far away from you
  3. Im happy to hear that it is better then 2012. We did great, better then last year. We made a new policy last year and stuck to it.......Dropped all the deadbeats, problem payers and headaches. Demanded deposits and prompt payment. We focused on new customers, advancements in equipment and employees. We made more and kept more money.
  4. OK..... 2013 is over, gone, no more. How did everyone do ? Did any hopes and dreams come true ?
  5. Battery tools in general are great to use as long as they can do the job. Corded tools are much better in performance. We have them all, Hilti, Bosch, Dewalt , Milwaukee and Metabo, SDS and Spline We use both types to the extremes. Generators, We have the big welder/generators on all the trucks. They work great but are noisey. We purchased a Honda 2000 recently. It works great and there is really no noise and you can carry it anywhere with one hand. At times you do not remember that it is running.
  6. Congratulations Bob and Company on your new addition. Add more red and chrome.
  7. Mantex.....My dealer iis Stamm Industries in Florida. John Stamm 1 800 226-5056 Stamm-mfg.com He should have something for you or let you know where to go for it. Ron Kohlman is a good guy also. He is always amazed at my trucks. and keeps on trying to sell me on Elliott. Its all about what you like and can afford. Love them or hate them.
  8. My Thoughts only.....Tandam axles mean 4 more tires and 2 more brakes, More headaches and more reasons for the cops and DOT to write tickets. Elliotts are nice, but the work beds are way to high up. And the back step is a back breaker. Manetex is my choice. 7 years without any problem. . Altec is following Manitex on the same design Getting the truck serviced will also play a big part on your choice. Stay with the 3 top brands and you should do well. Any truck that works without issues is a good truck. You love them or hate them. Good luck and best wishes on this adventure.
  9. I have installed a lot of their signs for other companies. They build a good product. Speak to Jeff, the owner and let him know what you need. He will help you build what you need.
  10. This truck will be on display at the Atlantic City Sign Show starting Thursday to Saturday. Check it out and get all the details from the builder. Maybe make it a Christmas Present ? Fresh Florida oranges by STAMM
  11. My new truck will be displayed at the Atlantic City Sign Show. Stop by and see it. Have a Fresh Florida Orange and check out the truck
  12. Thanks for the compliments everyone. We...the sign industry are in the business of making businesses look good and make money. If we dont look good, why would the customer trust us to do their work. I will never understand the sign companies who drive rolling junkyards. I have always put money into my trucks. It shows the customer and everyone else that we are cofident and able to take on any work. It also keeps our employees proud that they have the best equipment and they care of it. All of my trucks are rolling advertisments that turn heads and that is a priceless advertising investment.
  13. The truck is under the CDL Requirements fully loaded. and has Hydralic brakes. There are 86 lights on the truck now and we will add more. Air planes can see this truck.
  14. Here is my new service truck. Nothing standard here. 2014 International Terra Star, Allison Automatic with Every option. Above that is a rear door that holds 6 boxes of lamps from 108 to 120 inch lamps. On the top is 2 lift up doors that contain 2 boxes each of every size lamp. 16. She finally got an award after 178 years of service
  17. The International DT 4 6 6 Is the only motoer to get. It is a proven powerhouse that runs forever. It will pull down a house and then do 75 mph easy. Add the Allison Automatic and you will love it. The 444 motor is a get out and push All of the V8's suck Dont waste your time on them Michigan ? Buy a truck from the south or the midwest. 19. EXCELLENT sign job. Really a nice piece of work. Installations.....I would love to have that much space to work in. 85% of our work is blocked by something.
  20. Thats some website. I needed to take a nap half way thru it.
  21. I have the same truck The out riggers were designed that way by Sky Hoist. Never had any problems in 12 years of bottoming out.
  22. Are they going to the pier to stop the Chinese Imported LEDs ? and all the other crap ?....... Nice display of P R I D E
  23. We run into the same issues here in NYC NYC is full of older neon signs. Neon is a skilled art. Manufacturing and installation is done with skilled labor. There is a limited supply of these professionals. LEDs are available to every one with money in their hand. No Skills , limited if any installation skills or electrical understanding The real issues are who is the better salesman. Neon verses LED. The better salesman and the educated customer will win.
  24. Just tell everyone the rules. No smoking inside my buildings, trucks or on the job site. Period. Kill your self on your time. I have found that smokers, real smokers spend more time with the cigarette in hand then tools. Smoking is not acceptable in the business and work force today. It does not project a professional apperance for your company when the crew is smoking and then dropping the butts all around.
  25. NICE One parking spot, no out riggers and great mileage. Almost the right color too.
