  1. Located in the Puget Sound region of Washington State, CREO Industrial Arts is a producer of high end custom architectural fabrications. We turn some of the nation’s largest design firms visions into reality and currently have positions available for fabricators working in aluminum and mild and stainless steels. Fabricators produce custom high fit and finish architectural ornamentation, electrical signage and lighting features to name just a few of the things we do. Fabricators work with our technical staff and shop drawings to realize the clients vision. Developing fabrication strategies, samples, prototypes, fitting, welding, preparation for paint, assembly, wiring, etc. Job Title: Sign Fabricator Journeyman Department: Metal Fabrication Reports to: Electrical Sign Fabrication Lead Position Type: Full Time, Hourly Job Summary The journeyman metal fabricator is responsible for the successful fabrication of a project sign type or sign type group. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Take hand off of construction drawings and fabrication strategy from project manager and documentation dept. Recommend any improvements to the fabrication strategy and reconcile with the project manager and documentation dept during the hand off. Material take-off, stock check, and submit purchase requests to the purchasing dept for new projects. Produce sample parts, prototypes or first articles to test fabrication strategies prior to roll out to production run. Design tools and jigs to facilitate an efficient production run process. Assemble wiring and electrical components according to NEC code and safe practice standards set by the electrical administrator. Direct and train apprentice fabricators, who are assigned to the project. Requirements Education – high school or GED equivalent Training – sign electrician journeyman certification equivalent, welding aluminum and steel, safe use and practice with shop equipment Experience/Skills – proven track record of taking full responsibility for the timely completion of metal fabrication, signage, lighting, and environmental graphic projects, exhibiting a high level of fit and finish, working from construction drawings. Job Summary: The role of the Fabrication Estimator is to review potential projects and develop fabrication and installation cost estimates that sales can use as the basis for a proposal. The process starts with an analysis of the various project elements, which leads to the development of a general fabrication strategy. At that point, the estimator must research potential subcontractor/supplier options and collaborate with internal fabrication staff in an effort to collect all project costs. Those costs are fed into a formal estimation spreadsheet and appropriate margins are applied to create the overall pricing for the project. This information is then handed back to sales to construct the final proposal. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Analyze projects to determine estimation strategy -- possible fabrication techniques, subcontracted elements, margin goals, value engineering options, etc. • Review bid package to ensure understanding of deadlines and special requirements (bonds, specific licenses, site restrictions). • Prepare request for information that addresses any discrepancies or areas that need further clarification. • Contact Subcontractors and Suppliers to acquire cost information for materials and contractor services. • Evaluate fabrication requirements and assess cost, consulting with fabrication leads when necessary. • Identify sign types that are similar to those fabricated in the past, and gather copies of previous pricing proposals, subcontractor quotes, and estimate sheets. • Document all disclaimers, exclusions and clarifications related to the bid. • Archive the bid package in a well organized binder that includes all cost estimates and subcontractor quotes so that the project manager has a reference point for the initial contracted scope of work. Requirements: • Detail oriented individual with strong organizational skills • Understanding of fabrication processes, including o Metal Fabrication o Electrical Signage o Graphic & Typography Processes o Architectural Drawings and Site Plans o Construction Materials & Processes • Reasonable level of competence with office productivity software (MS Word, Excel, Project), and familiarity with Internet tools for searches, etc. • Ability to conduct thorough research to identify optimal materials, sub-contractor services, processes, etc. Preferred Experience (not required): • Hands on fabrication experience • Understanding of the signage / environmental graphics industry

Job Title: Project Manager Position Type: Full Time Job Summary The primary role of the project manager is to oversee the entire environmental graphics project and ensure that the project is executed on time, on budget, and at the appropriate margins. The PM is the liason between the client and CRĒO, and must remain constantly engaged with both parties to ensure alignment. He/she monitors all phases of the project to ensure the accurate execution of the specifications, details and obligations of the contract. He/she must also track and prioritize tasks to keep multiple signtypes or projects moving through the documentation, production and installation processes on schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in researching fabrication options, and creation of submittal samples, mock-ups and prototypes Perform site surveys and obtain field verification data. Assist in the preparation of RFI’s and reporting the reponses to be incorporated into the final shop drawings. Prepare transmittals for submittal samples, patterns and drawings. Prepare permit documents, submit for permit, coordinate inspections and archive original signed off documents. Contract and coordinate subcontractor services Manage change order process Prepare a timeline of production and monitor progress, communicating with client Periodically inspect production to ensure accurate interpretation of design intent Coordinate shipping of completed product Coordinate and manage onsite installation Manage billings for the project including the preparation of a schedule of values and monthly billing projections Generate and maintain detailed records of all drawings, client communictaions, contract documents, permits, and any all other project related documentation.
