Getting a C-45 lic in CA

What web site should I read to learn how to get my C-45? CSLB?

What one or two books do I need? When I got my C-61, the CSLB web site listed a BUNCH of reference materials but really I only needed ONE book.

Hi Paul.

The basic requirements are that you need to have 8 solid years of employment in a electric sign co. 4 years as an apprentice and 4 as a journeymen. Other requirements are the simple stuff like working capital and be bonded.

Over the last few years the Lic Board has become more stringent about who qualifies for a C45 over a C61.

As for books, not really any on the subject to my knowledge, the test is mostly law with very few to none in actual trade. The hardest part is just meeting the years experience and knowing the law.
