Photo Measuring Software

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone here used digital photos and a software application to get measurements for providing quotes. Perhaps you even use them for more.

uPhotomeasure

Photoshop

ImageJ

Sticky Yard

Google SketchUp

Or maybe some other application

This link has an example of what I an referring to. iPhotomeasure Signs

Anyway, if you do use something like this, could you please let us know what you use and how you apply it.

I use Photoshop myself.

I import them from a camera, clean it up removing trees or old signs and square it up then export to something like Neon Wizard or Flexisign. I'll import it in to one of the sign programs and scale it by some physical building measurements.

Same here we get a "known" measurement at the site then import in to flexi and scale it up

So, what do you think your accuracy is?

I have three curved walls I need to get the radius of and was wondering if I could get an accurate radius for installing neon using Google Earth or some other satellite image.

Google earth won't be that accurate
