Corel

I just added an attachment to a post and for some reason or another it came up in a Corel window. I'm not real swift when it comes to computers, so I'll tell what I did. I've had Corel 9 since I bought my computer. It came with the package. I never installed it. In the meantime, I upgraded to Windows XP. Yesterday, I had cause to install Corel 9, and now when I go to My Pictures to bring up a pic, instead of coming up in a My Pictures window it comes up in a Corel window. Is there an easy way, short of uninstalling Corel 9 (which I probably won't use for another 5 years), to keep the pic in My Pictures?

Just short of razzing you about being to old to work a computer and telling you to let you great, grreat, grrreat grandkid figure it out for you. Which I would never do.

My guess would be that you somehow made corel the default application for your pictures. Just a guess though. I have come to the habit of creating a folder with several sub-folders. The main folder as my name(I also have one for the wife). These folders have the little squiggly line thing(~) in front of the name to make first in line under the c-drive folder. Within this folder I have a sub-folder for my drawings, a sub-folder for pictures, etc. This way whenever I load something or save something I can easily find where I want it to be and it is in turn easier to find. For me that is.

Today, when I got home my keyboard was dead. I eventually uninstalled Corel, rebooted and my keyboard worked fine. I filed the Corel discs in File 13. Problem solved. I don't need Corel. What little sanity I have left I need.
