Anybody here caught or near the paths of destruction from all the tornadoes. It's been crazy watching the news, anyone's work or signs been affected? Stay safe everyone near these things.

Moms house got it bad. 100k or so damage. Missed the shop by 500 yds. Its tore down all kinds of stuff around here but luckily no deaths so all in all quite lucky.

Sad to hear but also good to hear. Was there ample warning or just an all out instant FUBAR.

Actually plenty of warning. Sadly folks look at the weather man as the boy who cried wolf. Every time a weather event be it snow sleet hail rain and tornado they over play it. Luckily most folks were in basements. BTW another funnel cloud spotted 5 miles from here. Gonna be raining toads soon.

I've even heard the storm chasers have been intimated to go out. I don't hear that very often, never, actually now that I think about it.

I had to stop on my way home last night and sit in a high school because of a tornado between the shop and my house. The town I live in got a small one on the outskirts. No real damage here, just a few faces blown out and tree branches down. Other areas got hit pretty hard in Oklahoma City I saw some faces out nothing like in 1999. We had a days notice that the weather would produce tornados so we could plan for it. My thoughts and prayers are with people of Joplin they really were hit hard.

I knew I was safe when I was pulling into Town and the storm chasers are heading out of town
