what are you guys doing with your elliots, in cold temps, my unit run very slow, thinking of putting a heating system on it

I bought a magnetic heater and stuck it to the outside of the tank. It works pretty good.

I did the same as Chubby. They were 110 and I ran them of the generator. If I had to run the crane on days like today, I would put a couple of them on there. I now have a better system. When its below 20 degrees, the trucks stay in the shop

i found a system from artic-fox in the usa. you run your antifreeze through it and it warms up as you drive, add a temp gauge and bypass so you dont get it too hot. i bought the smallest kit $180 + shipping and heater hose from local

Hi there

Many years ago, with my skyhook, i installed a 110volt water heater element into the tank. It worked great off of a generator, the only caveot was that you had to keep an eye on it. Always made me worry when I saw steam coming from the vent on the tank.
