We just installed a new Bucket and Boom Unit on our oldest truck.  We bought this truck brand new.

The truck is a 2000 Isuzu,  built with an Aichi Boom.  The Aichi worked flawless until it died. Massive Heart  Attack

 

We bought a new boom bucket from VersaLift.  

We did the work in house.  One day to remove the old and install the new.

New Hydraulic Hoses made and the electrical wires.   Simple

Total cost was under $ 19,000.

 

This truck is garage kept since new.  No Rust or damages.  Original Paint.

This truck has made over 6 Million Dollars since 2000.  Not bad for service only.

This truck continues to go and go.  We do not baby this truck. 

 

Keep your trucks inside, clean and maintained. They are priceless.

Replacement truck.....$ 140,000.

Excellent stuff Paul. As never really being rich, I always had to to repair and convert my equipment and became quite proficient with repairs to Skyhooks, Radocy's, Dynas. Kind of miss those old cranes,
