Does anyone have any experience with this type of rotating system? The points seem to work but the sign is locked in one position and will not turn. We loosened the 4 bolts at the base (Marked in Yellow) and that freed up the motor and gear box but the cabinet is still stuck. Any help would be appreciated!!

We called these guys at Dynapac Rotating several ago and they helped us with an old rotating pharmacy sign that looked similar to your project. They were very helpful and friendly. Here is some info from their home page:

      It would be the cable appropriate to fit in the sheave size, measure what is on there currently. And 2.25 - 2.5 times longer than the fully extended boom length. You can probably find the least required number of wraps on the winch drum.
