  1. i have 1991 and 1993 international with less problems than a past 6.0 powerscrap
  2. if a ford smokes on monday, sell it by wednesday, because friday it will be 4000 bucks again, believe me, i went with the wednesday and best deal ever
  3. I am a smoker myself, i never smoke in the customers face. I will up in the bucket or when they are away from me. My guy smokes also and works the same way. Really by law you cannot smoke on the job or commercial vehicles in Canada, nobody really cares for that law and police do not enforce it. we do our best to keep out of site when smoking.
  4. This site has saved many peoples lives by helping me put I-crane and Skylift, Sam Marcum out of business. Many people that don't even know it owe Erik and this site, the sign association of Canada saves me 0.03 cents per liter on gas, woo hoo Plus my advertising here gets me work from across the US
  5. no problem, i get lots of work, just correct the name to "signworks inc." please
  6. i finally did mine and painted the auger truck, they both look pretty good now. I left the BIK on because they have been good to us
  7. Cal you avoid that bulb mess in your bucket, I got my banner lady to make me an 18oz. bag x 6' to hold the lamps and a hook that hooks on anything rail.
  8. do not fear the 1stopsign shop guy in Mississauga, they have an illuminated pylon but they didn't peal the old graphics off, sucks if they cant even get their own sign correct
  9. very sad for the family, any job should have qualified installers or at the least a babysitter on site to baby them through the install. the sign company and the installers should be liable for this, engineers do not have hands on experience and I find "book smart" doesn't keep a sign standing for long with some engineers.
  10. We don't get charged for proof of insurance slips for our customers, that isn't right. What you have to watch out for is the low-lifes that ask for it and then go on site and do the job with their shop help, once the property manager has it in the office, they don't ask for it on site, so after you fax and email it all, a guy from the sign shop shows up and does the install. You cannot work in most reputable places without WSIB and Liability around here, problem is they never ask for your ID when you get to site. I've been insured for 12 years, this guy and his brother have never paid a penny to an insurance company for liability or workers comp. and has been in business longer than me. Thats a kick in the face.
  11. who is R.E. BATES CUSTOM BUILT CRANES in Kentucky
  12. Make sure if you buy an Elliott that your hoses are protected from rubbing on the body, you will have many angry landlords, I blew 3 hoses in the first year, just a heads up. besides the hoses and cheesy sliders, the machine is very good and i'm happy with it
  13. maybe they got a snow storm in Florida and they took the winter off to come to Canada. you just never know what will happen with all this global warming.
  14. hope its good, because I am pretty sure i-crane itself is dust, he's probably saying "EH! that damn Canadian was right"
  15. You took the words right out of my mind. I have been dieing for somebody to bring it up (if it still goes up), i just didn't want to be the one to ask.
  16. That box was a really tight fit, you have to squeeze the lamp cases in, they left just enough room, 1" more between cab and tank would have been nice.
  17. It does lots more work than the vanladder for sure, daylight lamps only and yes drivers side holds ballasts in the front section, extra long lamps from the back and room to spare for other long items. straps on the bed side to hold signs and plywood.
