Employees with Ace Signs of Arkansas carefully replace the renovated neon sign at the Royal Theatre in Downtown Benton. The Royal Players, the organization that owns the historic theater, received a grant form the Benton Advertising and Promotion Commission to restore the theater marquee and sign, which have not been fully lighted since the late 1960s. Plans are being made to sponsor events in which the sign and marquee will be officially turned on to light up the downtown area. (Courier photo by Matt Burks)

Glad to see another theatre sign come back. Some of these old signs were very elaborate, with the flashing neon and traveling bulbs. Not many of these still around. Not too many people know how to make them work, what a shame.
