I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that there are special laws relating to the use of music for political purposes. This came up a while back when Coldplay - who had never sold their music for advertising, commercials, etc - had one of their tunes used in a political campaign against their wishes. Apparently permission of the writer is not required, though paying royalties does still apply. So I guess the band is SOL.

Well, I might be wrong, but i fyou go to the website and peruse the other stuff----I'm not sure if its legit as written, take a look at the one supposedly by Palin. I really doubt she wrote that------------farce, maybe???????????

Yeah - the website is full of people who aspire to be 'clever' - not unlike The Onion, etc. It gets pretty tedious after the first 10 minutes or so, but hey, this is what the younger gen considers valuable political discourse.

Yea I hadn't look at the site, looks like the whole thing is crap...funny though
