New Product - some feedback

Recommended Posts

Axiom NZ is in development of a rather innovative product aimed at bringing light to 3rd world countries.

While this is not necessarily for signage we wanted to get some feedback from the smart and diversified group of people here.

Unfortunately, in most countries of the world people do not have power or conventional lighting in their homes. Countless studies have shown that population growth slows in these countries when light is introduced into a home for just a few hours a night. This encourages women to spend time with children and encourage reading/education and finds them having less time to satisfy their husbands sexual interests.

This product we are developing does not use batteries (no battery store in the remote towns of the world) and runs on something that is abundantly available EVERYWHERE - and it is free.

So here is where I need some feedback - for those with children - if you did not have a TV, no video games, no toys and you had to spend a few hours with your children every night - what would you do? How much would be a good time to spend? 1, 2, 3 hours?

So in essence this is marketing analysis of how long our light really needs to be on in the evening.

I know this is way out there - but when you realize what you can do to help some people you want to get some feedback.

Manuel,

My wife and I intentionally have no TV, or video games and have twin boys just over 1 year of age. You find time to do so many more things that you normally wouldn't if you were stuck in front of the tube. We love music and play instruments a lot. Guitar, Didgeridoo, banjo, jimbe etc. The kids love it! A solid 1-2 hours before baths and bedtime is usually how it works out. Are these microhydro systems you are speaking of?

No Brent - something very simple and odd. But thanks for feedback. I dont watch TV and havent for almost 1 year now. I agree, so much more to do.

Hope your solar project is working out.
