Lemberg Electric acquires Good Electric

The Business Journal of Milwaukee

Monday, July 19, 2010, 1:58pm CDT

Lemberg Electric Co. Inc., an employee-owned electrical contractor in Brookfield, has acquired Good Electric Co. in Waukesha.

Established in 1929, Good Electric specializes in commercial electrical construction and service. Lemberg Electric, which was founded in 1928, specializes in electrical construction, data/communications, energy management, sign and lighting, and 24-hour electrical service.

Both firms were included on The Business Journal’s list of largest Milwaukee-area electrical contractors published in September 2009. Lemberg ranked third on the list with $24 million in revenue and 150 employees. Good Electric was seventh with $9.6 million in revenue and 52 employees.

“I have been working on a succession plan for the last few years and I’ve had the opportunity several times to sell the company,” said Gregg Eisenhardt, owner and president of Good Electric. “After much consideration, I have decided to sell Good Electric to a truly outstanding competitor.”

Lemberg Electric strategically has been expanding its local market, purchasing SoLite Neon Sign Co. in July 2009 to further expand its sign and lighting division.

“Good Electric is best known for its capabilities and reliable service,” said Dave Washebek, president and CEO of Lemberg Electric. “We are very proud to carry on this great tradition and will continue to provide high levels of service.”
