I am seeking Sales/Account managers for our Architectural Bronze Division. You must live in either Chicago or Dallas. We are not seeking someone who is willing to relocate. We are seeking seasoned signage sales professionals who have a strong relationships within these cities.

Description: As a key contributor to our Architectural Product Lines, Bronze Division, you will be responsible for the creation of revenue-positive sales activity, with a focus on the maintenance and expansion of existing accounts, as well as the development of business from new accounts within an assigned region. The ideal candidate will be a Type A, high energy individual who thrives in an autonomous environment. Applicants should be technical enough to talk to Architects and Specifiers, but personable enough to create solid long term relationships with individual clients and end users.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Development of high revenue-producing accounts with a focus on building solid long-term relationships

• Management and expansion of existing account base

• Introduction of new products into existing and new markets

• Evaluate and implement appropriate sales techniques to increase all regional sales volume and profitability

• Set short and long-term sales strategies within assigned region

• Responsible for the accuracy of quotations and other details to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with company policy

• Diligently study and acquire maximum knowledge of the features, on-going benefits, and applications of every product and service

• Communicate current as well as future planned sales activities

• Provide accurate forecast data on a quarterly and annual basis with updates on an as-needed basis

• Provide support to the marketing and customer service departments as needed

• Responsible for the execution of tactical sales management activities for the region

• Responsible for submitting designated weekly reports on a timely basis

• Additionally, you will be attending and assisting in setting up trade show exhibits, participating in trade shows and conducting product training and/or seminars as required

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and applicable governmental regulations. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, in order to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Strong interpersonal skills required with the ability to effectively interface with peers and management of other functional areas including sales, manufacturing, engineering, materials, finance and IT.

• For consideration Candidates must possess the following:

• 5-15 years in a sales role with increasing revenue responsibility.

• Experience MUST include minimum of 7 years in the sign products industry

• Well developed knowledge of key accounts within the regions

• Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

• Must live in the posted City (Metro) area.

• You must also possess a current driver’s license.

• You must also be willing and able to perform continuous travel within a large geographic territory.

• Overnight stay's account for approximately 50% of travel.

• Overtime and some weekend travel required.

• Successful candidates will need to meet these requirements as well as additional pre-employment testing required by Matthews International.
