Spencer Massachusetts—On January 6, 2005, the producers of Chasing Farrah—a new reality show coming to the TV Land cable network—unveiled a promotional advertisement campaign that transformed the entire west side of the luxury Hyatt West Hollywood Hotel o­n Sunset Boulevard with an image of television icon and noted actress Farrah Fawcett. Ink Jet International, a Dallas-based printer, produced the dynamic promotional graphic using FLEXcon’s FLEXmark™ BILBRD® BWV and SEETHRU-SIGN™ STSWBF pressure-sensitive vinyl materials.

The 108-foot-high-by-58-foot-wide image showed Farrah Fawcett with hands in prayer position and the words ‘She’s No Angel’ printed above. (A subtle reference to Fawcett’s notable role in the first season of Charlie’s Angels.) The building-size graphic was produced using FLEXcon’s FLEXmark BILBRD BWV opaque vinyl materials for the wall and SEETHRU-SIGN STSWBF for the windows—a perforated vinyl product that allows visibility through windows from inside the hotel. Jittu Sarna, President of Inkjet International, comments o­n this application:

“As usual, [our representative] AD+ brought a challenging job to the table,” commented Jittu Sarna, president of Inkjet International, about the application. “At first, we were concerned that the performance of a regular pressure-sensitive adhesive would not suffice. FLEXcon simply said, ‘No problem.’ As usual, they had a solution, and if they hadn’t, I am sure they would have manufactured o­ne. This extra step is what keeps relations firm and o­ngoing.”

Chasing Farrah is a new reality television series scheduled to debut o­n Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at 10:00 pm EST o­n the TV Land cable network. The six-episode series will give viewers a rare glimpse into what Farrah’s life is like in and out of the spotlight.

The Hyatt West Hollywood, also known as the “Rock and Roll Hotel,” has for more than 50 years hosted musical talent and entertainers from around the world.
