  4. Hey Travis, we definitely don't get begged to use Freightliners. That choice is really driven by our customers. Over the past few years, there has been plenty of turmoil in the truck industry. Freightliner offers the right mixture of engine reliability and dealer availability at the best possible price. They also do an excellent job of keeping the fuel tank, air tank, battery box, and emissions equipment completely under the truck cab. This eliminates frame interference and allows us to install more toolboxes. Most of our customers (sign guys) tend to look for the lowest priced chassis, and that happens to be Freightliner/Ford. That being said, we've built plenty of L60s on more expensive trucks. Here are a few samples (Hino, Peterbilt, and International). We don't really have a truck preference!

  15. This year is Elliott Equipment's 65th anniversary in the business, so we might be the only manufacturer that can offer up some high resolution mid-century pictures. Here are some pictures of 1950s Elliott HiReach that we have on our factory office walls. It's pretty amazing how far we've come in terms of safety, design, and multi-functionality! We still have the sign truck shown in the first picture, and it still runs. Great for local parades.
  16. Hey Carlton, the black decals look great! Solid work. Glad we could help you out with this purchase.
  17. Keith, The M43R HiReach pictured in my post had the following weights upon completion. 5,480 lbs Front Axle 8,480 lbs Rear Axle 14,320 lbs Total Truck is rated at 19,500 lbs (7kFA / 12.5k RA)
  18. Carlton, I'm with Elliott Equipment Company, and I quickly wanted to jump into the conversation to mention one of our newer models designed for sign companies working in that 45' range. Our M43 HiReach (shown at the ISA Show 2012) offers 48' of working height on a 19,500 lb GVWR Ford F550 or Dodge 5500 chassis. Here's a link to the product brochure - http://www.elliottequip.com/docs/default-document-library/m43r-spec-brochure.pdf 30x54" Steel Platform, 500 lb Capacity 500 lb Jib Winch Telescopic Boom Steel Bed and Crossbody Box Cab Guard Walkway Big advantage at Elliott, as most people here know, is that we do full customization for sign companies. Much more than the competition. We have dealers in your area that have this model in stock, I'm certain they would be happy to give you a demo. Let me know if we can help. Cheers, David P.
  19. Sign Trucks manufactured by our company in Omaha, Nebraska. Since 1948, Elliott Equipment has been manufacturing industry-leading aerial work platforms for the outdoor sign and lighting community.
  20. Thank you Erik and Kirstie for hosting the Meet & Greet. Sorry that Justin from International and I couldn't stay longer, but we had a tight schedule! Seems to always been the case at these shows. You have a great group of members, and I look forward to seeing you all again in Orlando. PS - This year's show was incredible for Elliott, one of the best ever. Thank you to anyone here on the forum that stopped by at our booth, we're always happy to see such incredible support for our products.
  21. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I especially like what you did for the cross-body box on this unit. If any of you are going to the ISA show in April, we'll have the V60F HiReach model in our booth along with three other sign trucks. Mounted on a 19,500 lb GVWR International Terrastar chassis, same as above. Great chance to ask questions and make recommendations to our team. If you stop by the booth, ask for me, David, and I'll give you a tour.
  22. I'm surprised we haven't had any sign companies request solid basket walls and a space heater in their aerial work platforms! We could certainly do it! Stay warm out there.
